Take the Santa Claus Express train from Helsinki to Rovaniemi, the real home of Santa Claus and the capital city of Lapland. On this 8-hour journey on a First Class train, you will travel through a Finnish winter wonderland, passing cities and forests with snow capped trees & landscapes. Rovaniemi is an urban city surrounded by arctic nature, where Lappish culture and a wide range of activities meet. In Rovaniemi, you can visit Santa Claus and cross the Arctic Circle every day of the year!

During your stay in the Arctic Circle, visit Santa Claus Village (imagine all you can buy for Christmas gifts!), enjoy a campfire picnic under the stunning aurora borealis (weather permitting), visit an authentic reindeer farm, and indulge in a traditional Lappish hut dinner. You will also have the option to experience a husky sled ride and much more!

After this incredible experience, fly back to Helsinki for two days, including a city tour & the Helsinki Christmas Market. Helsinki Christmas Market has more than one hundred stalls offering a potpourri of beautifully-crafted gifts and Christmas ornaments, as well as locally-grown produce, fish, meat and prepared foods. Santa Claus pays daily visits and an old-fashioned merry-go-round spins in the square’s center, offering free rides for children and a dose of nostalgia for adults. While in Helsinki, you may also enjoy a day at leisure or an optional tour (via ship) to Tallin, Estonia to visit one of the finest Christmas Markets in all of Europe.
